Messenger Lite is an official client developed by Facebook of its popular instant messaging service, whose main virtue is to occupy much less space than the standard version of it, taking something less than 10Mb and being much lighter to run without problems in most humble terminals with previous versions of Android.
It is a totally official application that offers practically all the functions of the original chat service, being able to converse with our contacts both individually and in groups, as well as send and receive text, images, videos and stickers.
Unlike unofficial clients that can be found on the network, Messenger Lite is able to work in the background and send notifications with messages from our contacts, as well as emit vibration or illuminate the device when there is some kind of activity. For practical purposes we have all the advantages of the client without the weight and consumption of resources for which Facebook applications are known.
Messenger Lite is a fantastic alternative to the official Facebook client, designed for countries where wireless connections are not capable of running the amount of data required by the official client, as well as being compatible with a greater number of devices and older versions. Android (runs up to 2.3 Gingerbread), which does not mean we can not use it even if we do not have these problems.
